About Us

Laurel Day Camp (LDC) families return summer after summer to enjoy a wonderful camp experience in a nuturing atmosphere full of play and discovery. Our well-rounded program and themes embrace the nature and culture of Cape Cod, with an emphasis on the arts and outdoors. Structured mornings and afternoon electives and activities keep campers playing, creating and learning all day!

The LDC is in its 26th year and we continue to create and continuously develop incredible activities which appeal to all of our age groups. We promote honesty, respect and kindness while providing a sense of community to give campers confidence in a loving environment.

What We Offer

Our campers' daily schedules take advantage of our two-and-a-half acre campus that includes large playgrounds, two greenhouses, a field, and a swimming pool with changing and shower rooms. Our Toddlers and Lower Campers stay on campus in our safe and nuturing environment. Our Upper Campers have the opportunity to explore beautiful Cape Cod beaches, theaters, tennis courts, sailing lessons and much more. They embrace many summer activities that the Cape has to offer but also enjoy camp activities on-site like archery, swimming, and obstacle courses. Our Lower and Upper Campers enjoy familiar as well as new structured activities like performing arts, gardening and nature, and hands-on educational workshops on campus. For more information about our camp simply fill out our online inquiry form or contact us to schedule a tour. Campers are accepted on a first-come, first-admitted basis and some groups and private lessons fill quickly. See what other camp families are saying about The Laurel Day Camp.

Community

LDC campers come from all over the United States, many foreign countries and all areas of the Cape. Campers build meaningful relationships with new campers and continue to have memorable experiences with old friends, creating a sense of community. Campers feel safe while building confidence in every day learning and exploration. While working together, they learn how to cooperate and enjoy success.

Our experienced counselors and staff members are all First Aid/CPR Certified and participate in our annual camp orientation program. We are proud to have some graduates with us from The Laurel School, Laurel School teachers and other staff members pursing their educational career. Our staff is dedicated to making sure your children feel right at home as they create camp memories. We also offer a unique volunteer leadership program for our camp graduates (entering grades 8 through 10). Typically, volunteers assist our activity directors in the mornings and with the lower camp electives in the afternoons.

We are proud to serve our local community and have relationships that continue year after year, bringing joy to those who share with us. With programs like sailing, kayaking, golf and enrichment programs we are able to share with you the educational and cultural appreciation we enjoy. Thank you Brewster Recreation, Harwich Jr. Theater, Cape Playhouse, Oceans Edge, Local Flavor and the Cape Cod Baseball League.
